What it is

General liability, commercial property, a business owners policy, workers' compensation and commercial umbrella: the coverages a company needs to sign a lease, take a contract and keep people on payroll. As a property and casualty independent insurance agency, we offer all lines of coverage for both business and personal insurance, and a business account gets the same attention as a fleet.

Why it matters

A lease, a vendor contract and a general contractor's bid package all ask for the same thing before the work starts: a certificate of insurance showing limits that meet their terms. The policy is what makes the certificate true. Our approach is coverage first, ensuring our clients are adequately protected, and then diligently working on finding a better price.

Who needs it

Owners of companies based in metro Atlanta and across Georgia: contractors, professional offices, retail, restaurants, and transportation companies whose exposure goes beyond the vehicles. Cobb County alone counted 22,148 employer establishments in 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts, read September 15, 2026).

In Georgia

The office is on Paces Ferry Road SE in Atlanta and the mailing address is in Smyrna; both sit in Cobb County, which reported 376,117 total employment in 2023 (U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts). Contractor certificates, landlord requirements and workers' compensation for a Georgia payroll are the usual starting points. Our size allows us to work quickly and efficiently, enabling us to deliver high-quality service without unnecessary delays.

What the policy can include

  • General liability
  • Commercial property
  • Business owners policy (BOP)
  • Workers' compensation
  • Commercial umbrella
  • Commercial auto for vehicles outside a trucking program
  • Certificates of insurance for leases and contracts

Information is general in nature and may not reflect your specific situation. Policy language, not this page, determines coverage.

Questions we get

What is a business owners policy?
A business owners policy, or BOP, packages general liability and commercial property into one policy for small and mid-sized businesses, often with business income coverage included. It is usually the starting point for an office, a shop or a restaurant; larger or more specialised operations are written on separate policies instead.
Do I need workers' compensation in Georgia?
Georgia's requirement depends on how many people you employ and how they are classified, and the State Board of Workers' Compensation publishes the current threshold. Tell us your headcount and how they are paid, and the quote is built against the current rule rather than a number from memory.
Can you issue a certificate of insurance for a contract?
Yes, once the policy is bound. Send the contract's insurance section: it names the limits, whether the other party needs to be an additional insured, and whether it wants notice of cancellation. The certificate is only as good as the endorsements behind it, so those are added first.
What do you need to quote a business policy?
What the business does, where it operates, annual revenue and payroll, the number of employees, the property you own or lease and its value, and your current declarations pages if you are insured now. Set up an appointment via Zoom, telephone, or in person for your insurance portfolio assessment.
